Graduated from the Teacher Training College Basel-Stadt in 1981. Many years of practical experience as a primary school teacher. In the years 2000 to 2003 additional professional training as a certified remedial teacher.

In July 2021, after more than 40 (forty!) eventful, interesting and exciting years, I ended my professional life in order to devote myself again more intensively to my decades-long passion.

I am the father of two adult sons.

Passion

My first encounters with the musical world took place in my parents' house: Ticino folklore, Italian evergreens....

Second, very important, significant musical experience: An older cousin from Ticino (a Beatles / Stones fan) lived with us for about three years. He introduces me to a previously unknown world of music – which immediately captivated me.

1966 – 1970: HIM, Radio Luxembourg. ME the more often, the more styles: Blues * Charts * Classics * Indie * Jazz * Jazz-Rock-Fusion * Pop * Rock * Underground * etc. As well as The 13th Floor Elevators * The Band * The Beach Boys * The Beatles * Jeff Beck * Blood, Sweat & Tears * Blue Cheer * David Bowie * James Brown * The Byrds * Ray Charles * Chicago Transit Authority * Colosseum * John Coltrane * Cream * Creedence Clearwater Revival * Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young * Miles Davis * Deep Purple * The Doors * Bob Dylan * East Of Eden * Greatful Dead * Jimi Hendrix * Iron Butterfly * It’s A Beautful Day * Jefferson Airplane * B.B. King * The Kinks * Led Zeppelin * Love * The Mahavishnu Orchestra Feat. John McLaughlin * The Mamas And The Papas * The Moody Blues * The Mothers Of Invention Feat. Further Passions

And then in October 1969 (shortly after Woodstock!): I experience my first personally shattering, musically style-defining big bang. I encounter massive, somber and at the same time tenderly playful songs on the same album. This one is punctuated with numerous, rhythmic breaks and tremendous dynamics. The songs went (and still go) through me... King Crimson: In The Court Of The Crimson King!

After this epochal, groundbreaking album for eternity (COVER: SICK!), my world for sounds is a – supplementary – completely different one.

The Progressive Rock / ProgRock (from 1969 – 1977) enchants from now on my ears: Beggars Opera * Camel * Caravan * Ekseption * Emerson, Lake & Palmer * Focus * Genesis * Gentle Giant * Greenslade * Gryphon * Steve Hackett & Band (up to this day) * Jethro Tull * PFM * Renaissance * Supertramp * Van der Graaf Generator * Yes * etc.

From the 70s on I was very curious about further sounds of this world – and discover in the following years, decades «new», very good (Dance) music, like Afro * Klassik * Elektro * Funk * House * JazzRock * Latin * Oldies * Oriental * Pop * Reggae * RnB * Rock * Ska * Soul * Techno * Trance * Tropical * which inspire me – until today – as a DJ, «feed» me (see «Music»).

Other hobbies: astrology * astronomy * gardening * guitar, acoustic and electric * artistic design (plaster, painting, clay, drawing) * chess * dancing *
